Kanban: Playing the game at RadTac.

I recently played the kanban game with the great guys at RadTac in London. It was an interesting experience that highlighted the benefits of reducing the amount of work you have in progress at any one time and what automated testing and continuous deployment can bring.

Many thanks to José Casal

Here's how our team did.

You can download an older version of the game for free to play yourself here.

Git: doing a diff on your staged files

Sometimes, after doing some work on a bunch of files and adding them to the staging area (by doing a 'git add .' for example) it's helpful to see exactly what differences you're about to commit.

There is a handy diff switch you can use in order to see them.

git diff --staged

I recently stumbled across it and wondered why I had never searched it out before.
